Causes includes, unusual dietery habits- irregular timing, untimely food intake, either having regular diet or continuous long fastings, unusual sleep patterns, sleep disturbances, is the most considerable cause, associated with psychological stress, fear, over enthusiasm, grief, excess desire.
Symptoms includes – edema of organ, ulceration may seen, blisters with secretions present, redness with burningsense, necrosis of pennies will be seen.
Complications may include contamination diseases, severe pain & necrosis of pennis, extra growth may present.
Manashika- due to psychological factors.
Doshaja- due to vitiation of doshas in the body.
Sukra kshayaja- due to unnatural and excess sexual activity.
Vyadhija- due to diseases
Agantuja- due to trauma to genital organs.
Sukranirodhaja- due to celibacy and withholding of ejaculation.
Sahaja- due to congenital malformation.
Complications: may cause severe pain in organs includes pennies, testis, depression, debility.

Vidradhi- formation of abscess on or near pennies which may turns to tumour or cancerous growth.
Tilakalaka due to some harmful chemical applications, skin become blakish, fleshy portion of skin gets exposed which is a serious condition and is difficult to treat.
Mamsapaka- destruction or emaciation of muscles of genitalia.
Complications: Premature ejaculation or delayed or obstruction in ejaculation of semen causes sudden collapse or death.
